Good Morning!

As you arrive:

Sign in
Plug your laptop into an ethernet plug at the "UpDate Station" and run appropriate updates.
Design your name tent

For your PC

Run the GP Update - Allows your laptop to receive automatic updates.

1. Plug in ethernet to your laptop then restart. Login and wait 5 minutes.

2. Click the Start button (the Windows button in the lower left hand corner) then select Run...

3. Type in GPUPDATE /FORCE, (be sure to include a space between GPUPDATE and /FORCE) then click the OK button. Wait for the black to disappear.

4. Restart your laptop.

Install BeyondTrust - This will give you the rights to install programs.

1. Click the Start button. Select Settings and Control Panel. Double click Program & Features. Click on the "Install a program from network" link.

2. Double click the BeyondTrust Privilege Manager Client once it appears.

3. Click the Restart button when prompted.

WebCam -

1. Click the Start button (the Windows button in the lower left hand corner) then select Run...

2. Type in \\w007zen1\webcam

3. Right click the blue icon labeled setup

4. Select PM- Run Elevated

5. In the Justification box type in the reason that you want the software. Then type in your AD password. Click the OK button.

Beyond Trust troubleshooting:

If you are not getting PM run elevated when you right click the .exe install icon on your desktop.

Go to------start-settings-control panel-user accounts- click on "Turn user account on or off" and uncheck the box.

For your Mac

1. Plug in ethernet. Restart your laptop.

2. Hard Drive -> Applications -> Self Service

3. Install ->

MCX refresh- This will stop the syncing. This is a good thing to do.

Software updates (This will take a long time and will need to be done possibly several times.)

Printer drivers - drivers for the new 2330dn and 3110 printers

Office Converter App This will allow you to open newer versions of Office documents.

Wireless fix - Do NOT run this unless you are inside your home campus walls. Running during iInnovate training will cause you problems after you leave.

*Many of these will not appear if the laptop has been plugged into ethernet for more than 30 minutes.
